Entering the Competition
Rules of the Competition
1) The Competition is open to all children who attend national school aged 9 - 13 years in two categories (a) 3rd & 4th classes and (b) 5th & 6th classes.
2) The entry should be the child's original unaided work.
3) It will be on the theme: Stepping Through the Mirror
4) Entries to be either
- a short story of no more than 1,500 words long,
- a poem (no graphics) no more than 40 lines or
- a piece of artwork no bigger than A3 eg painting, drawing, illustration etc
6) All entries can be submitted by post or dropped into Gort Library marked for the attention of Guaire Magazine Children's Creative Arts Competition or submitted by email to [email protected] Art entries cannot be submitted by email.
7) The closing date is Friday 26th April 2024.
8) The winning entries will be published in the 2024 edition of the magazine. In addition, submitted entries may be published in subsequent issues of Guaire Magazine or affiliated non-profit publications.
