
The Guaire Magazine Children's Creative Arts Competition is a bi-annual creative writing competition for children aged 9-12. The Guaire Magazine Children's Creative Writing competition is run in collaboration with Gort Library.
Aims of the Guaire Magazine Children's Creative Writing Competition:
"To respect and promote the right of the child to participate fully in cultural and artistic life"...."and encourage the provision of appropriate and equal opportunities for cultural, artistic, recreational and leisure activity". Article 31 - 2 UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
Aims of the Guaire Magazine Children's Creative Writing Competition:
- Inspire the love of creative writing and visual arts among children.
- Cultivate the next generation of writers for Guaire Magazine to continue its legacy into the future.
- Highlight the talent and creativity of our young community to the widest possible audience. The competition is open to all applicants between 9-12.
